Tour of Szeklerland of to a great start

Our riders are currently racing in the Tour of Szeklerland they started it with a 5,3 kilometre prologue. Maik van der Heijden took 6th place and the lead in the U23 classification. Alex Molenaar took 10th place and the rest of the team showed themselves.

Stage 1 was a 200 kilometre race and Oscar van Wijk managed to get in the early breakaway, after 20 to 25 kilometre a group of 4 rode away. Oscar rode a very brave race and his escape ended only 25 metres from the finish, after 170 kilometres at the front. Eventually Jordi van Loon took 8th place, Oscar took 11th and Alex 14th.

Stage two was a 192 kilometre stage. Oscar van Wijk rode to a 8th place and Jordi van Loon rode to a 9th place. Oscar now sits in 6th place in the general classification, while Alex Molenaar sits in 7th and Jordi van Loon sits in 9th.

There are 2 stages and an individual time trial still to come and there is still everything to play for.
